gContacts / CallPalette ("Free Version") and gContactsPro ("Pro Version," together with the Free Version, the "App(s)") set forth this Privacy Policy (this "Policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information in the Apps and related services, as follows.
"Personal Information" means "personal information" as defined in Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information, that is, information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other description contained in such information, as well as data relating to facial appearance, fingerprints, and voiceprints, and information such as the insurer number on a health insurance card that can identify a specific individual from that information alone (personal identification information).
In order to provide phonebook functionality, the App(s) access the following information on the device.
This information is used to display and edit contacts, place calls, and provide related features. Notes, social links, and decoration information saved with contacts may sync through Google Contacts or other account services according to your device settings, and may be read by other apps with contacts permission. Sharing, backups, and opening external apps follow your actions and device settings. Contact contents, call history, and photos are not sent as advertising or usage analytics events.
The Free Version (gContacts) uses "Google AdMob," an advertising delivery service provided by Google LLC. Google AdMob may collect information such as the Advertising ID for the purpose of delivering advertisements and measuring their effectiveness. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) for details on the handling of information collected.
The Pro Version (gContactsPro) does not incorporate any advertising SDK and does not collect any information related to advertising.
Versions of the Free Version that include analytics use Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google LLC, to understand feature use, usability, retention, and advertising revenue and improve the app. The Pro Version does not include this analytics SDK. This does not add the app's analytics SDK to this website.
Our analytics events do not include names, phone numbers, email addresses, contact IDs, search terms, note text, social URLs or IDs, or custom social labels. However, analytics data may include SDK identifiers and is not necessarily completely anonymous. Data is sent to Google and may be processed using Google's infrastructure outside your country. See Google's Privacy Policy and Privacy and Security in Firebase for information about handling this data.
Where consent is required, we use the choices for analytics in the privacy message presented to you. Where consent is determined not to be required, analytics may be enabled without an additional consent screen. Eligibility to show ads is not by itself treated as analytics consent. Analytics is not enabled if you decline it or the necessary status cannot be established. Where privacy choices are available, you can revisit them through the app's "Ad Privacy Options". For questions about data handling or your available rights, contact us using Article 6.
The content of this Policy may be changed without notice to users, except for matters governed by law or otherwise specified in this Policy. Unless otherwise specified by us, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
